Beliefs

Below is a summary of some of the beliefs and doctrines held by our congregation. We know that not all will agree with our positions. We are guided by love, truth, and grace in such situations and hope that constructive conversations can take place.

God

We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (1I Corinthians 13:14)

Jesus

We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ-His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His reconciling death for all people, His resurrection from the dead, His ascension to heaven, and His return in power and glory. (1 Corinthians 15:3-5)

Holy Spirit

We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, Whose indwelling presence empowers and directs the Christian to live a godly life. (Acts 2:38; Romans 8:11;I Corinthians 6:19-20)

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the Word of God. It is divinely inspired, without error, and the supreme and final authority for faith and life. (I Timothy 3:16,17)

Salvation By Grace

We believe salvation is by the grace of God, apart from any personal merit, and is the common need of all people, for we have all sinned and fallen short of God’s standards. (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:5)

Salvation Through Faith

We believe that salvation is through faith in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9) The Bible teaches that the appropriate

response of faith to the grace of God is that we:

  • Repent of sin (Luke 13:3)
  • Confess Christ as Lord (Matthew 10:32: Romans 10:9)
  • Be baptized (immersed) in His name for the forgiveness of sin and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38;I Peter 3:21; Colossians 2:9-12)

Return of Jesus

We believe Jesus will one day return and reign forever as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. ( Thessalonians 4:13-18)

Resurrection

We believe in the resurrection from the dead, with believers inheriting eternal life with Christ and unbelievers facing eternity without Christ. (Daniel 12:2; John 6:47)
